He has such a huge heart. He has such a sweet personality. He's just so thrilled to be Truman, and the rest of us are privileged to be included in the World of Truman.
Truman has a personality like none other I have ever seen in any dog. He is so full of life; he bounces like a Tigger; he runs like a gazelle - oh my goodness, does he ever long to run. He loves to go to the track with Mom; he loves to go to the field with Dad. He has his nose in everything - if it's going on anywhere near him, he simply has to be a part of the action. He loves to go for walks - he's out in lead as if to say "look out world, here comes Truman." He sashays from side to side as if he's the sentry. If a loud noise occurs, he immediately runs behind you and woofs - the woof is to warn the noise that if it gets past you, he's back there.
He is so very sensitive. His feelings get hurt so easily. He doesn't understand when there's an upset in Truman's world.
When his people fuss, he hides in the corner - he doesn't want to go for his walk - his eyes have such a forlorn expression. He's no different from other dogs when they are fussed at by the ones they adore. They live to please - they live to be accepted - their hearts are broken because the one they love is upset with their actions. He's no different.
Where many others bounce back into full swing after loving words from their person - bounce back into full swing after receiving pets from their person - bounce back into full swing after receiving scratches from their person - bounce back into full swing after being told they're so wonderful - Truman continues to mend his broken heart. He didn't mean to displease - he didn't mean to upset his people. Poor little guy.
He will survive. He will get better. He will return to Truman's world. He just has to nurse his hurt feelings a little longer ...... OR ...... is he making his person suffer for hurting his feelings.
Don't upset the World of Truman.
